Charles J. Smith, Jr., 67, of Atoka passed September 28, 2022.

He is survived by his daughter, Monica Harris (Jaime); son, Shawn Slattery; mother, Cleo Smith; sister, Lisa Smith; brother, Tommy Smith (Kim); two grandchildren, Haley Slattery and Kassidy Harris; niece, Crystal Curle; and nephew, Tommy Smith, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Rose Smith, and his father, Charles J. Smith, Sr.

Charles worked for the City of Memphis for over 25 years as Solid Waste Manager Director. He raced at Riverside International Speedway for over 60 years. Many family bonding events happened at the race track. For over 25 years he led fantasy football, baseball, and basketball teams.
