Charles Wells, 86, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012. The widower of Glennie Wells, he is survived by his son, Gregory Wells, Memphis; his daughter, Alfreda Wells, Tulsa, OK; one sister, Charlene Wells, Yazoo City, MS; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. Wells retired from General Electric and was the proprietor of Wells and Son Service Station. Mr. Wells served his country in the U.S. Navy. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Forest Hill Funeral Home - Midtown. A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church - Lauderdale, 682 S. Lauderdale in Memphis.
