Chris Edward Pingel, 60, of Memphis, TN, passed away Thursday, September 20, 2012. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, September 23 with funeral service Monday at 2 p.m., both at Forest Hill South. Burial will be in Forest Hill South Cemetery. Chris is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Norma Pingel. He is survived by his children, Russell Pingel (Amber), Jeffrey Pingel, Christie Pingel, and Laura Pingel; two grandchildren, Hallie Pingel and Emma Browning; one sister, Cheryl Hammarstedt and two nieces; Cynthia and Tracy. He was employed with UPS for 33 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, and most of all he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Memorials may be sent to the donor''s charity of choice in his name.
