Christine Westmoreland Edmiston Lowery, age 91, died June 9, 2021 at her daughter's residence, Martha Kay Moorman.

Christine was born July 12, 1929 in Benton county, MS to John Hubert and Gladys Viola Westmoreland. Christine was the first of ten children.

She married Carlston "Possum" Edmiston on June 21, 1947 with who she had 5 daughters.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband  Carlston Edmiston, two daughters; Margie Elizabeth Edmiston and Linda Jean Carter, four brothers; Hubert Munsey Westmoreland, W.T. Westmoreland, Charles Westmoreland, Walter Kidd and two sisters; Irene Green, Grace Wilkerson and granddaughter Tammy Darlene Force and husbands later in life Ernest Lwellening and Edward Lowery.

Christine is survived by three sisters; Mae Horvath, Doris Green and Jean Hopper, three daughters; Martha Kay Moorman, Eileen Edmiston, Elaine (Robert) Turcotte, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

She also leaves behind many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Services will be held at Forest Hill East, Memphis, TN on June 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 12:30 PM. Burial will be at Forest Hill South immediately after services.
