Christine Scissell Hyatt, Mama Hyatt, was born on June 14, 1932 and died on January 11, 2017 in Pope, MS. She was a member of Raleigh Seventh-Day Adventist Church of Memphis where she and her husband Stanley Hyatt lived most of their married life of 66 years. She was MAMA Hyatt to countless children who she cared for in her home for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Florence and Wallace Fortner and one brother, Wilburn Fortner. She leaves behind her husband Stanley Hyatt, daughter Lesa Rena and Bobby Hilburn, great grandson Landon Lawrence of Pope, MS; daughter Beverly "MiMi" and Mark Fletcher; son Allen and Sherri Hyatt; and three grandchildren, Heather Brook, Allison and Drew. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Monday, January 16 until service begins at 10 a.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East with interment following. Beverly wants to thank Les and Bobby for taking such good care of Mom and Dad.
