Christopher Brian Thompson, 34, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 13, 2018.  Born on the most special day of the year, Christmas Day, we would have celebrated his 35 ^th birthday on December 25, 2018.  He loved helping others and had a heart for doing so.  Christopher enjoyed time at the ocean and mountains of northern California, and especially enjoyed his best friend, Rambo.  He was a treasure hunter his whole life, and is now with the greatest treasure of all, "Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."  Chris is survived by his mother, Faye Thompson of Cordova; his father, William R. "Pete" Thompson, Sr of Oakland; and two brothers, Shane Workman of Cordova and William R. Thompson, Jr (Lee Ann) of Knoxville, TN.  He will be miss by aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and numerous cousins.

Pastor Tom Lindberg of First Assembly Of God Church will be officiating his service at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, East; 2440 Whitten Road on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.  Visitation with his family will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m., with a graveside service following at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be sent to St Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Chris.
