Clara Anne
Jackson
Jun 7, 1941 — Oct 21, 2019
Olive Branch
Clara Anne Perrette Jackson entered into her Lord's arms on October 21, 2019. Clara was raised in Memphis and graduated from Tech High School in Memphis, Class of '58. She often talked about her cousin Johnny Dobbins now of Nashville, TN stating that she and her sister Brenda grew up next door to their cousin and he was the brother she never had. She was a cosmetologist before having children and later worked for the Memphis Group after the children were grown. She took her role of wife and mother seriously and was involved in all the events of her children from scouting to sports. She made it a point to visit all of her grandchildren and was indeed happiest when around them. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edna Griffin Perrette and Woodrow Perrette of Memphis, TN and her husband of 54 years, Randall James Jackson of Byhalia, MS. She leaves behind her sister Brenda Perrette Dunlap of Byhalia, MS; her children Michelle (Jason) Blagrave of Indianapolis, IN, Michael (Ramona) Jackson of Hernando, MS and Paul (Stacey) Jackson of Fort Worth, TX, and her adopted daughter Tammy (Greg) Miller of Byhalia, MS. Clara also leaves behind ten grandchildren: William (Rachael) Jackson, Carolyn Jackson, Abigale Jackson, Christopher Jackson, Aaron Jackson, Matthew (Julia) Jackson, Nathan Pentecost, Heather (Kevin) Krueger, Abram (Marley) Pentecost and Luke Pentecost. She also leaves behind four great grandchildren: Dana, Gabe and Kaleah Jackson – William and Rachel's children of Palmdale, CA, and Thomas Kruger – Heather's son of Indianapolis, IN. Clara also leaves behind her church family of Victoria United Methodist in Byhalia, MS. Both Clara and Randy were fortunate enough to touch the lives of many people in that area. They felt grateful that they could be of help to others. In lieu of flowers, Clara's wish is that you would donate to the shelter of your choice. Both Clara and Randy had a passion for animal rescue so any gift you would give in their name/names would bring them joy. Clara's visitation will be Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 12:00-2:00 pm. Service will start at 2:00 pm with internment after her service at Forest Hill Funeral Home East.
