Clara LOUISE Lentz Wilt Scocca, 80, daughter of the late Oatley "Ted" Lentz and Clara Newman Lentz, passed away on February 18, 2014, Newnan, GA. She graduated from Central High School and attended Memphis State University and the University of Maryland, while living in Frankfurt, Germany. Clara was a member of Mensa. Clara was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry, and traveling and was fluent in German, Spanish and Italian. In addition to her parents, Clara was predeceased by her husband, Peter Scocca, and a sister, Nancy Camille Harris-Springfield. She is survived by her six children, William "Chip" Wilt (Melody), Linda Wilt Buchanan (Dale), Nancy Anne Wilt Hay (Eddie), David Wilt (Sherry), Daniel Wilt (Lisa), Paul Wilt (Karen) and stepdaughter, Nanci Scocca Speagle; grandchildren, Julia Wilt, Jason Stokes, Matthew Buchanan, Kelly Buchanan, Erin Hay Jefts (Charles), David Wilt, Jr. (Melinda), Jon Wilt, Stephen Wilt, Timothy Wilt, Michael Wilt (Nichole), Christopher Wilt, Leah Wilt, Laura Wilt, Hannah Wilt, Trevor Wilt, Bronson Wilt, Eden Grace Wilt, Deacan Wilt, and great-grandson, Nolan Daniel Wilt. Clara also leaves her sister, Juanita Anne Lentz; and a dear friend, Julia Jones, who helped care for her. Visitation will begin Saturday, February 22 at 1 p.m., with services following at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown, 1661 Elvis Presley Blvd. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Longview Heights Baptist Church, Olive Branch, MS or to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital.
