IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clara Kuhn
Tragesser
December 28, 1925 – December 27, 2025
Clara Kuhn Tragesser
December 28, 1925 - December 27, 2025
Eighth and last child of Joseph William Kuhn and Ann Bennett Kuhn, Clara was born into a household full of loving brothers and one loving, devoted sister. She was preceded in death by both parents and her siblings: Joseph C. Kuhn, Lawrence Kuhn, William Kuhn, Fred Kuhn, Freeman Kuhn, Annie May Kuhn Smith and Gordon Bennett Kuhn. Clara is survived by nieces and nephews, friends, neighbors and coworkers, too many to name, whose friendship and kindness enriched her 100 years beyond measure.
In an article recently published celebrating her 100th milestone, Clara is quoted as saying, "God has been good to me by giving me love from family and friends. I have enjoyed life. I have precious memories of my family and my coworkers at Memphis Light Gas and Water where I worked for many years."
Clara and her sister Annie May were career women, role models for the future generations of Kuhn women. She was stylish, generous, and spent most weekends being the caregiver for her mother and siblings It was never a burden; it was her pleasure. She said, "Everybody came to momma"s house on Frank Street to celebrate holidays, and it was a joy to celebrate with my momma and my siblings." Clara was always generous with her time, resources, and love for family and friends.
The family wishes to thank Dorothy Sims as Clara's friend and caregiver. With Dorothy and her team, Clara was able to stay in her beloved home with the best of loving care.
