Clarene Dyer Edwards, 97, passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at her Memphis home.  She was born in Halls, TN. on March 27, 1920.  Mrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Elbert Edwards; parents, Clarence and Arizona Dyer; one brother and three sisters.  Clarene leaves her daughter, Kay Hannah (Jim) of Clinton, TN; two sons, Elbert Edwards and Ken Edwards of Memphis; eight grandchildren;fourteen great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews.  She was a member of Whitehaven Baptist Church since 1946.  Clarene taught children's Sunday School and enjoyed the "Keenagers" senior group.  She loved the Lord, her family and her church, and she will be greatly missed by all of us who loved her.  The family will receive friends, Saturday, January 27 starting at 12 noon at Whitehaven Baptist Church with the funeral at 1 p.m.  Bro. Jim Meredith and Dr. Roger Freenam will be officiating.  Burial will be immediately following in Forest Hill South Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Whitehaven Baptist Church, 4800 Elvis Presley Blvd. Memphis, TN.
