Classie Smith Rankin Travis gave her life to Christ at an early age. And having walked her life's journey by faith, she went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 19, 2025 at her home.

Classie was born on May 3, 1937 in Memphis, Tennessee to Thomas Smith and Sadie Foster deceased. She was sister to James E. Smith, Mary F. Griffin and Ruth Carr who preceded her in death. Classie was married to Isadore T.J. Rankin Sr.(deceased) and Willie B. Travis (divorced). She had eight children: Teresa J. Burton(deceased), Isadore T. J. Rankin Jr., Crystal A. Rankin, Rory B. Rankin(Charlene), Allen D. Rankin(deceased), Glynis M. Rankin, Mark Rankin(deceased), Peter Rankin(deceased). Her remaining children, 5 grandchildren and 7 grandchildren will cherish her memory.

Classie's faith and love of Jesus was the cornerstone of her life. Her light will forever shine in our hearts and minds.

Visitation is on Thursday January 30, 2025 at Forest Hill Funeral Home Midtown, 1661 Elvis Presley Blvd between 2 -4 pm. Services will be held on Friday at Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church 70 N. Bellevue Blvd at 11:00 am on January 31, 2025.
