Claude D. Norton passed away on March 20, 2017 at the age of 96. He served his country in the Navy and was retired from Memphis Light Gas & Water after 32 years of services. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elizabeth Norton; son, Gene Norton; sisters, Ruby Maxwell, Ruth Akin, Margaret Bartlett; twin brother, Clyde Norton; and one great grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Joy Norton; sons, Jerry Norton and Larry Norton (Delorse); eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Friday, March 24 until service begins at 10 a.m. Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East with interment following. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Community Bible Church at 601 N. Bellevue or St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital.
