IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clemens
Wicinski
June 9, 1934 – January 16, 2025
Early on the morning of January 16. 2025, Clemens Wicinski, known to all as "Ski", traded his tired & worn earthly body for a brand new heavenly one. He's now rejoicing in the radiant presence of our Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ.
He was born June 9th, 1934, in Cleveland, OH. He served in the Navy from 1953 till 1957. During that time he met Wynell Johnson from Mississippi and they married. They were together for almost 70 wonderful years. After leaving the Navy and settling in Memphis, TN, he worked as a Civil Engineer for awhile. Following that, he joined Power & Telephone Supply in 1966. He worked in various capacities there until his retirement in 2001.
He also served as Music Director at Sky View Baptist Church in Frayser from the early 1960's on into the 70's. There he led the singing for Sunday and Wednesday night services. He held Christmas & Easter cantatas and sang solos occasionally for the special music. His signature song, and his testimony, was Mylon Lefevre's, "Without Him" he dearly loved that song and it touched many.
He was a great father & a true friend to all those who had the pleasure of meeting him. He was a man who took pride in whatever he did, whether projects around the house or doing the job that paid the bills. He also passed his work ethic down to his children and grandchildren. He found a great deal of fulfillment in his service to his church in leading the singing there.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen & Karol, his brothers, Br. Roman S.M. (a missionary in Africa), John (Alice), Martin (Grace), & Carl (Geraldine). His sisters, Irene Chalko (Paul), Sophie Sarnowski (Al), Mary Choromanski (Alex).
He leaves behind his dear wife, Wynell. Also his son Michael Wicinski (Marilyn), grandson John-David Wicinski (Lizzy) & great-grandchildren Kennedy & Kaylee. A granddaughter, Jennifer and great granddaughter Autumn. He also leaves a daughter Sheryl Radicioni (Armando) and a granddaughter Kelsey Reeder (Lizzie). He also leaves behind his younger brother Arthur along with many nieces and nephews who thought the world of him.
