Clifford Allen Jones

Clifford was a born again Christian and attended Iuka Baptist Church in Iuka, MS. He served in the U. S. Air Force as a Senior Airman "Buck Sgt" until 1953. He was employed by the City of Memphis Fire Department for 25 years as a Lieutenant and was know as the firehouse chef. He retired from the fire department in 1979. He was known by the nickname of "Squeaky" Jones. After retirement he continued to work as an over-the-road truck driver. He enjoyed doing mechanical repairs and working in the yard. He loved hunting and fishing especially going to "fish camp" with his best friends. He enjoyed supporting his church family with fish frys and cook outs.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents George Allen and Josie Jones, his former wife Joyce Elizabeth Jones, two sisters; Leona Clayborne and Laverne Mills and a brother Curtis L. Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Alta Zisk Jones, his daughters Melissa Cooper (David), Mechelle Kay (Chuck), his Granddaughter Valerie Hill, and three Grandsons, Matthew Pind (Jaime), Jacob Pind (SaraBeth) and Clark Hanley (Taylor).
He had 9 great grandchildren: Four great-grandsons; Cody, Christian and Caleb Hill, and Cason Pind. Five great-granddaughters; Ryen, Avery, Adaline, James, and Finley Pind.
Clifford "dad" was loved by numerous family and friends and will be missed by all.
