Clyde Norton, 94, of Collierville, TN, took his first steps on his journey to heaven late in the day on May 7, 2015 at Germantown Methodist Hospital. A beloved husband, brother, father, and grandfather who dedicated his time to his family and church (Colonial Baptist Church). His favorite hobby was gardening. He was preceded in death by his two sisters; Rubye, and Ruth. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anita Wilkins Norton; his two daughters, Barbara and Nancy; his grandchildren, Christopher, Amber, Whitney and Britney; along with his twin brother, Claude; and sister, Margaret. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Mr. Norton was a retiree of the Defense Depot who also dedicated his life serving those in need at the VA Hospital. Funeral service and visitation will be held from 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12 at 1503 Colonial Road in Memphis. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery following visitation and funeral service. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be donated to Colonial Baptist Church or Central Church, "Angel Projects for the Military".
