Clyde Vernon Powell, 97, passed away in Southaven, MS on December 5, 2019. Mr. Powell served his country honorably in the United States Army and was a member of Horn Lake First Baptist Church.  His occupation had been a very successful farmer.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Wilson Powell.  Left to honor and cherish his memory, his children, Marcia Jones (Jimmy) of Olive Branch, MS and Michael Powell (Emmy) of Southaven, MS.  Mr. Powell had been blessed with 5 grandchildren, Jordan Jones Hillman(Matt), Taylor Powell, Adison Jones(Lori), Michael Powell and Matthew Powell and 3 precious great-grandchildren, Ian Hillman, Logan Hillman and Abram Jones, Graveside services for Mr. Powell will be on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at 2:00 pm at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, South on Holmes Road.  Forest Hill Funeral Home has been entrusted with his care. 901-382-1000 The family requests any donations made to a charity of your choice in his honor.  Flowers should be sent by Tuesday, December 10. 2019, to the Cemetery office at Forest Hill South on Holmes Road.
