Clyde Taylor was born in Toone, Tennessee on May 29, 1914 to John Neal and Dolly Frances Taylor who preceded him in death. He passed away on September 28, 2016 at the age of 102 years. He retired from Giant Foods after 22 years of employment. Clyde is survived by his loving wife of over 58 years, Mary E. "Libby" Taylor; Children, Gail Cox (Johnny), Lynn Mohon (Charles) and Karen Smith (Steve); grandchildren, Ellen Hampton (Jason), William Lewallen (Dina), Amy Meyer (Nickolas), Rebekah Pounders (Paul), Jonathan Lewallen (Cindi), Stephen Smith (Jessica) and Christopher Smith (Laura); and by nine great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 from 12-2 pm, with funeral services to immediately follow at 2:00 pm, all at First Baptist Church of Collierville, TN. There will be a private family burial following services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Memphis Union Mission with First Baptist Church of Collierville.
