Curtis Dillard Jr., 78, passed away at his home in Coldwater MS, July 22, 2017. He was born to the late Luther Curtis and Estelle Dillard. He leaves behind his wife, Betty, of 54 years; 4 children Patricia (Kevin Wiley), Mark, Shelia and David (Victoria); and eight grandchildren.
Curtis, United States Marine Capt. Ret., served his country for over 30 years and fought honorably in the Vietnam War. His bravery during the Vietnam War earned him seven air medals, two Navy Air Commendation medals and the Bronze Star. He crewed helicopters, ran many search and rescue missions, saving numerous lives.
Upon retirement from the Marine Corp, he worked for Federal Express for 20 years.
He was an avid fisherman and golfer. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m Friday, July 28 and service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29 at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, East with interment following.
