With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dale Allen Hobbs, a beloved husband, father, Papa, brother, and friend. Dale left this world on December 31st, 2024, at the age of 68. Dale will forever be remembered for his unwavering love, his unfailing kindness, and the joyful spirit that was so obvious to everyone he encountered.

Dale was born on May 16th, 1956, and at the time of his passing, he was a resident of Lakeland, TN. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Gayla Hobbs, whom he adored and cherished for 31 years. Their love was a beautiful testament to partnership, laughter, mutual support, and the occasional shared adventure.

As a father, Dale taught the virtues of integrity, compassion, and resilience to his children, D.J. Hobbs, David Parrish (Kayla), and Lindsay Parrish (Leighanne). He took pride in their accomplishments and celebrated every milestone with the heartfelt enthusiasm of a devoted father. He joyfully embraced his role as 'Papa' to his grandchildren, Addison, Jacob, Grant, Breck, Ryder, and future grandson Atlas. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life, and he made every moment that he spent with them special and unforgettable.

Beyond his wife, children, and grandchildren, Dale was also a beloved brother and friend. He was a source of strength and support to his siblings, Jo Ann Henderson and Kay Morris. His friends knew him as a man who would drop everything in a heartbeat to offer assistance or share a good laugh, and his huge personality left an indelible impression on everyone he met. Whether through gathering with family and friends for a day by the pool, going to as many concerts as he could, or cheering on his favorite sports teams (go, Tigers, go!), he embraced every inch of life that he was given and inspired those around him to do the same.

Dale's legacy of love, generosity, and laughter has forever been etched in the hearts of his family and friends. He leaves behind a world that is better for his passing through it.

A celebration of Dale's life will be held at 2 pm on January 7th, 2025, at Bellevue Baptist Church in the Pollard Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to, St Jude Children's Research Hospital in his memory.

Though Dale is no longer with us, his spirit lives on through the countless lives that he touched. May his memory be eternal. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
