Daniel Lee Harrison, Sr. of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, passed from this life on September 16, 2023, at the age of 79.

On July 25, 1944, Lee was born in Memphis, Tennessee, to Amos and Ruth (Duncan) Harrison. Lee attended Memphis State and Tennessee Temple after graduating from White Station High School. Then, he began a career in human resources by working at Murray Guard Inc. and later retiring from Wackenhut Corporation.

He belonged to First Baptist Church Cherokee Village and was a devout Christian. Lee cherished his family and his church. In his spare time, he enjoyed making things out of wood. He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, where he held many offices, including Nobile Grand for four years.

Lee is preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Peggy, his children Patti Leath (Rodney), Lori Harrison, and Daniel Harrison, his stepdaughters Pamela Verna (Tom), Susan Demuth, and Deborah Dean (Mac). Lee is also survived by his brother Ben Harrison (Paula) and sister Ruth Ann Bearden (Tom) and six grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and fourteen step-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, September 22, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Forest Hill East Funeral Home, 2440 Whitten Road, Bartlett, Tennessee. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored to have donations made to the Alzheimer's Association.
