Daniel "Tom" Thompson, 88, of Bartlett, TN passed away November 14, 2018.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pauline Thompson; son, Les Thompson (Mary); son, Terry Thompson (Beth); daughter, Melinda Schneider (Tom); and grandchildren: Sara Thompson, Daniel Thompson, Justin Schneider, and Olivia Schneider.  Mr. Thompson retired from the US Navy after many years of service to our country.  After the Navy, he became the first paid firefighter for the Bartlett Fire Department from where he also retired after years of service.  The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday, November 19, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  A graveside service will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.  All services and interment will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, East.
