Danny J. Hunt, 74 of Columbus, MS, passed away November 8, 2022.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth "Libby" Hunt; three sons, Greg Hunt (Kim), Kelley Hunt (Nancy), and David Hunt (Bobbie); sister, Rebecca King (Steven); seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and two nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Van and Eva Frances Hunt.

Mr. Danny served his country in the United States Army. He was an Elder and longtime member of First Christian Church. He had a servant heart, always doing anything he could for someone else without wanting recognition. He made sure to stay busy with his business and other projects he found for himself to do. He enjoyed watching The Andy Griffith Show, Tennessee and Alabama football games, and Nascar racing.

He was a wonderful and dedicated husband and caretaker to Ms. Libby. He loved his family, and lived for his grandchildren.
