Darlene Joyce (Dosier) Hawkins (Joy) went to be with the Lord on August 31, 2012 at her home. She leaves behind her mother, Wilma Dosier; a sister, Dale Irvan; brother in-law, Pat Irvan; a niece, Ashlee Johnson and her husband, Tommy; a nephew, Ben Irvan; and a great-nephew, T.J. Darlene also leaves many family and friends in Tennessee, Mississippi, West Virginia, and Georgia. Darlene (Joy) was a nurse for 25 years at St. Jude Children''s Hospital where she was the coordinator for the Dream Day. She was elected as one of the Top 100 Nurses in 1996. Darlene''s love for the children at St. Jude was her life. She was a member of Liberty Memorial Baptist Church. The family sends special thanks to the nurses and friends at St. Jude for their help and support given to her family. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, September 3, at Forest Hill South with service Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
