David Elijah Burks, 91, of Memphis, TN born in Panola County, MS on August 19, 1924 left this earth on October 19, 2015 in Pangburn, AR Mr. Burks love the Lord and was a proud U.S. Army Veteran He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Lottie B. Burks. He leaves his wife of 7 years, Geneva Kay Burks, five children: James Rubin Burks (Debbie), Roy Lee Burks, Sheila Ann Carlisle (Gary) and Carl Stanley Burks (Bonnie) all of Sardis, MS, also David Mark Burks (Joyce) of Horn Lake, MSÍ 5 stepchildren: Darrell (Dannette) of Pangburn, AR, Melbourn (Marie) of FL, Machelle of Jacksonville, AR, Ricky (Kay) and Sharon (Bob) both of MichiganÍ one sister, Ollie MayÍ 36 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 22 at Forest Hill Funeral Home, East with service Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Forest Hill East Cemetery.
