Southaven - David W. Lipsey, 77, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Baptist Memorial Hospital, DeSoto. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday with visitation Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Goodman Oaks Church of Christ of Southaven. Burial will be in Autumn Woods Cemetery. Mr. Lipsey served in the National Guard and had been a volunteer coach for youth sports at Graves School and Harding Academy. During his career he worked for Armour Packing Company and retired from Kroger. He is preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Lillian Turner Lipsey; six siblings: Howard Lipsey, Juanita Enochs (Lester), John William Lipsey, Malcolm Lipsey, Sarah Irwin (John), and George Lipsey. He leaves his wife, Glenda C. Lipsey; two daughters: Carla Lipsey Fraser of Cordova and Denise W. Adamson (Charles) of Atlanta, GA; six sisters: Mercedes King, Barbara Hallmark (Milton), Mary Reasor (Ken), Margaret Pressley (Thomas), Patsy Baker (Ed) and Carol Wells (Robert).
