Deborah Leigh Poston - Heaven''s gates were open when they welcomed a new angel, my sister, Deborah Leigh Poston. Debbie passed on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 - but not without leaving this world a better place. Debbie loved life, just the mere existence to share with others, giving of herself and always with a smile. Debbie was born with Cerebral Palsy but that never stopped her from giving. Her gifts of her love for life will go on forever. Debbie lived at DeSoto Heath Care where everyone was her family. Never meeting a stranger, she shared her loving smile. Debbie was preceded in death by her Mother, Jackie Wilson and her brother, Doug Arterburn. She leaves two sisters, Margie Poston Rhodes, Nelda Poston Reed and two brothers, Lynn Poston and John Poston. She also leaves one nephew, Michael Deaton and two nieces, Tori Deaton Farmer and Sandy Rhodes Charles, as well as her great nephews and great-nieces. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the staff at the Baptist Hospital - ICU for their love shared during our time of need and to the DeSoto Health Care that has been Debbie''s home for the last twelve years. How blessed she was and how blessed they were, the corner residing in the nurses'' lobby will forever remember the love this little one called hers. And as the minister that preached most every Sunday morning at DeSoto Health Care said, "I will miss my Amen'' section but I know that she is running, talking and sharing her love with her Mother and the Lord." Visitation will begin 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 19 and the Services will be held on Friday, June 20 at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill South, 2545 E. Holmes Road, Memphis, TN.
