Deloris D. Hunter, 89 of Memphis, went into the arms of her Savior on August 3, 2023.She is survived by one daughter, Teresa Sporer (Tom); her son, Chris Hunter (Sherri); grandchildren, Mark Sporer (Samantha), Erin Holmberg (Ryan), Jennifer Yarman (Stephen), Megan Feraci (Sam), Madison Tingley (Bryan), Emily Smith (Daniel), Pearson Hunter, and Nathan Hunter; 11 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Joe Hunter; two daughters, Beth Ann Hunter and Cathy Sue Hunter; parents, James and Ella Edwards; sisters, Geneva Edwards, Ruth Peck, Mary Allen, Lucille Stute, and Nancy Cocke; and brothers, Woodrow Edwards and Jesse Edwards.
Deloris was a devoted Christian and was known as the Prayer Warrior to her family and friends for her strong faith in the Lord. She enjoyed reading and gardening in her spare time. She was a selfless caregiver to her daughter Cathy Sue.
Deloris was very loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed.
