Denise Langley Davis of Southaven, MS. passed away on February 10, 2018 due to complications from Alzheimer's disease. She was a retired employee of Sears and former volunteer for Baptist Hospital Desoto. She was born in Kansas City, MO. where she met and married the late M. Lloyd Langley. They moved to Memphis where they lived an active life in the Whitehaven community for many years. Mrs. Davis was a long time member of Graceland Baptist Church and then served many years in the choir at Broadway Baptist Church. She loved to travel and was blessed to have opportunities to visit countries all over the world with friends and family. Her favorite trip, which she often talked about, was to Jerusalem where she was able to place prayers for her family members at the Western (Wailing) Wall.
Mrs. Langley-Davis is survived by her husband Palmer Charles Davis, her daughters Gail Ryan (Robbie), Vicki Taylor(Ken) and Cheryl Langley; her brother Jerry Brookshire, two grandsons Matt and Sam Taylor, and four great grandchildren, Anna Katherine and Jackson Taylor, and Caitlyn and Lily Taylor. Gratefulness is expressed by the family to Comfort Keepers, Compassus Hospice, and North Delta Hospice for their faithful care towards Mrs. Davis. Visitation will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home, South on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 9:30-10:30 a. m. with services immediately following . The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org in honor of the life of Denise Langley Davis.
