IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dennis Martin
Douglas
May 9, 1944 – January 14, 2026
Dennis Martin Douglas passed away peacefully on January 14, surrounded by his family, which he cherished deeply.
Dennis attended Memphis Tech High School. Soon after he met the love of his life, Pat. The two married in 1963, beginning a lifelong marriage filled with devotion, adventure, and joy.
Dennis proudly served in the United States Army from 1963-1966. After returning to the United States, Dennis and Pat settled back in Memphis. During his service, they welcomed their first daughter, Kathy, followed by their son, Keith. Their family was completed with the birth of their youngest daughter, Kelly.

He owned successful companies including Universal Adhesives and Progressive Adhesives, earning wide respect within the adhesive industry. Affectionately known as the "Glue Man," he proudly displayed the nickname on novelty license plates.
A man of many passions, Dennis was an accomplished barbecue competitor of the cooking team Phantom of the Pigs Soo-Society, participating in numerous competitions and winning multiple awards. He loved line dancing with Pat and their many friends. Dennis was known for forming friendships wherever he went.

An avid traveler, Dennis and Pat explored the world, from walking the Great Wall of China to rafting 200 miles through the Grand Canyon. One of his most treasured traditions was taking his grandchildren on a special trip of their choosing when they turned thirteen.
Family was at the center of Dennis's life.
