He served in the Air National Guard as a First Lieutenant.

He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Lacy and mother, Mary Ballas Lacy
He is survived by his loving fiance, Sheila Stanfield, who he lived with for 18 years
He also leaves behind his sister, Lynette and husband Bruce Buchanan with their two sons Sean and Benjamin. And his sister, Cynthia and husband Ron Culbertson with their three children: Wyatt and Liz Culbertson (children: Maddox, Clara and Owen), Laura and Josh Rich, and Kelly and Jim McKee (children: Jack and Jimmy).
He also left behind his step children: Stacey Habans and her husband Jon with their children Brooks and Sutton Habans
Curtis Smith and his wife Tina with their children: Connor and Caitlyn Smith
Erica Gafford and husband Stewart with their children Knox, Lincoln and Harper Ellie
Justin Hines and wife Brandi with their children Abbi and Eli
He dearly loved his 8 four legged children Alie, Miley, Elmo, Dingo, Lucielu, Khloee, Macie and kitty cat Spunky.
