DERRYL ANTHONY FOSTER, 61, of Memphis, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2012, at Covington Manor Nursing Home in Covington, Tennessee, after a prolonged illness. He was predeceased by his parents Anthony and Lucille Shaw Foster. He attended Hope Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Messick High School in 1969, and received a Bachelor''s degree from Memphis State University. He has been a long-time member of the University of Memphis Alumni Association. He was owner of Foster Construction, LLC. He was an avid outdoorsman and traveled all over the United States and Canada. He was also an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast. He is survived by his sister, Sarah Foster Hubbard (Teddy) of Memphis, half-sister, Mary Foster Brownfield (Jimmy) of Memphis, and half-brother, Larry Foster (Helen) of Birmingham, Alabama. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces. Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2012 with services to follow at 2 p.m. at Forest Hill Funeral Home-East, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, Tennessee. The family requests that donations be made to the Traumatic Brain Injury Association of Tennessee, Crossroads Hospice or St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital in lieu of flowers. The family extends a special thank you to Covington Manor Nursing Home and Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate gentleness and patience with our beloved brother.
