Dimple Childress Agner, 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 15, 2025, in Southaven, Mississippi.

Dimple was born on December 06, 1931, to Rev. A. H. and Mary Childress. She lived through the Great Depression where she developed her great sense of not wasting time, money, or food. After graduating from college early, she moved to Shelby, Mississippi, where she managed to catch the slightly older, handsome bachelor, Walter M. Agner. They married in June of 1953, and they were happily married for 50 years before his death in May of 2004.

Dimple loved the Lord and her family, serving for over 60 years at Whitehaven Baptist Church, where she was financial secretary, Sunday School Teacher, and choir member, as well as being on just about every committee at one time or another. She was always singing or humming old hymns while going about her daily tasks. She enjoyed crocheting baby caps for the newborns at the local hospital and doing crossword puzzles to keep her mind sharp.

Dimple was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Joel, and her husband Walter. She leaves behind her two daughters, Marian (Rick) Williams and Deborah Widdows, her four grandchildren, Jessica Contreras, Julia (Patrick) Rhodes, Jennifer (DJay) Schaibly, and Zachary (Lauren) Widdows, and five great-grandchildren, Chloe, Liana, Kaylee, Alex, and Elias.

The family would like to thank The Pinnacle of Southaven staff, especially Hope, and Spring Valley Hospice, especially Caitlyn, for their loving and caring service.
