Donald Earl Chenault, known to many as Don, passed away on October 20, 2023, in Memphis, TN, at the age of 84. He was born on January 25, 1939, in Memphis, TN. Don will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community. Don was born and raised in Memphis, where he attended South Side High School. He was an active member of the community and had a passion for entertaining others. Don was a Mason and dedicated member of the Al Chymia Shrine Temple. He brought joy to people's lives as a Shrine Clown named "Zipper" for many years. Additionally, he was involved in organizations such as the Memphis Jaycees and the Bop Club. Don loved to dance and was known for his lively spirit. Don was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He leaves behind his daughter, Aimee Vandiveer (Jon), and his cherished grandchildren, Jareth Vandiveer and Lorelei Vandiveer, as well as his granddaughter, Katiya Chenault. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Chenault, and his brother, Bill Chenault. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Shriners Hospital, a cause that was close to Don's heart. Don Chenault will be remembered for his vibrant personality, his dedication to his community, and his love for his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
