Donald R. Burnett age 69 was born November 24, 1955 in Memphis, TN and passed away Sunday January 19, 2025. He retired after 30 years with the Memphis board of education. Donald was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His grand babies were his world. Donald was a kind man who would help anyone and never met a stranger. He was fondly known as "Uncle Donald" by his nieces and nephews, who he spoiled and would do anything for. He cared so much for his family and friends! Donald will be dearly missed! He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Burnett, his brothers Kenneth and Willis Burnett and his sister in law Carolyn Burnett. He is survived by his wife Rita Burnett of 38 years, his daughter Heather Burnett and his grandchildren, James and Kamiah Crisp. He is survived by his brother John Burnett of Burlinson, TN, Larry Burnett and his wife Kathy of Memphis, TN, Ronald Burnett and his wife Sandra of Memphis, TN and sister in laws Sandy Burnett of Memphis, TN and Peggy Burnett of Southaven, MS. Donald is survived by many nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
