DONALD H. HENSON, 84, passed away December 26, 2013. He was born December 31, 1928 and was a retired Sheet Metal Craftsman. He was a devoted husband for 62 years to his beloved wife, Connie, who had recently passed. Donald and Connie were devout Christians, attending the Church of Christ in Raleigh and Bartlett area. He was a WWII Veteran, serving on the Franklin D. Roosevelt CVB 42 Aircraft Carrier. An avid hunter and fisherman, he will be missed by many. He is survived by his sister, Lillie M. Thomas. Instead of flowers, please send donations, in Donald Henson''s name, to St. Jude Children''s Hospital, Visitation will be Monday night, December 30, from 5-7 p.m., at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 31, at 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial to follow.
