Donald Ray Byrd "Donnie", 63, of Oakland, TN passed away on April 7, 2020 in Collierville, TN.  He attended Oakland Church of Christ and graduated at Fayette County High School in 1975 and studied at Shelby State Community College.  He loved his family, going to the lake, working on trucks and helping others.  He was a great listener, mentor and hard worker.  Before retiring he was a jack of all trades but best known for being part of the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department, working for the Fayette County Ambulance Service as an EMT and Paramedic and also working as a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Eugene Byrd and grand daughter KaraLynn Byrd.

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Lenora Jean Byrd, brother, Johnny Byrd, daughter, Dina Green (Kelley), son Clyde "Eddie" Byrd (Jessica Jordan), six grandchildren, Tiffany Johnson, Nikki and Austin Green, Lacey, Casey, Brady, Clayton Jay "CJ" Byrd and 1 step grandson Kyle Teal.

Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, East has been entrusted with his care.  The family will be having a memorial service in the near future.
