Donald "Don" Eugene Strickland, of Independence, MS formerly of Memphis, TN died on Monday, September 6, 2021. Mr. Strickland was born in Memphis. He was the youngest of four children. Don graduated from Whitehaven High School in 1952.  He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corp as Radio Repair Instructor and retired from Sears after 30 years as a TV Electronics Technician. He also was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Independence, MS.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Bessie Strickland; his son, Donald Eugene Strickland, Jr.; two brothers, Sidney A. Strickland and William "Bill" Edward Strickland; also one sister, Fay Strickland Matlock.

He leaves his wife of 65 years, Margaret Perry Strickland and his daughter, Jamie Karen Strickland of Independence, MS.
