Donna Marie Pannell was born in Covington, TN on February 9, 1959 to the late Willie Jonah and Myrtice Marie Stringfellow. Donna went to be with the Lord on December 6, 2016 at the age of 57 years.
Donna grew up in Frayser, TN and went to Westside High School in Memphis. Donna enjoyed living in the Millington area. She was an excellent cook, and was a real "homebody". Her love of being at home really was a blessing to her other love, her fur babies. Donna had a deep passion for dogs. She is survived by her fur baby, Sandy. She lost her other fur baby, Asia, a few years ago.
Donna was the Funeral Home Administrator for Forest Hill Funeral Home East in Memphis, TN for more than 20 years. The staff at Forest Hill will greatly miss our beloved coworker. She was our Rock, and will never truly be replaced. As our Funeral Home General Manager, Mark Ballard stated, "Donna was more knowledgeable about our firm than any other person. She was a person who never spoke ill of others regardless of the circumstances. She was a very patient boss, and was the backbone of Forest Hill."
Donna was the glue for her family, having been the family event coordinator for some time. Her love for her family was evident when she became a caregiver along with her sister for her mother, Myrtice Marie. She also began going to church with her mother at the Bethel Baptist Church in Munford, TN.
Donna is survived by her mother, Myrtice Marie Stringfellow; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and John Paul Ferguson; aunts, uncles and cousins; and a host of friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 10-11 am, with funeral services to immediately follow at 11:00 am, all at Forest Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park East, 2440 Whitten Rd., Memphis, TN 38133, (901) 382-1000. Interment will be held in Helen Crigger Cemetery in Munford, TN.
