Dora Jeanette Vernon Taylor, 86, formerly of Memphis, died on Monday, January 14, 2019 in Monroe, LA, at the home of her daughter.  She was the youngest child of James Earl and Roxie Wylie Vernon, and the widow of James Roy Taylor, who died in 2010.  Mrs. Taylor was a homemaker, registered nurse and member of the Westlakes Seventh-Day Adventist Church in West Monroe, LA.  She is survived by three children:  James David (Debbie) of Douglassville, PA, Jonathan D. of Memphis and Roxane McHugh (Bernie) of Monroe, LA, and six grandchildren:  Josh Moyer, Hope Sufficool (Bradley), Heather Taylor, Taylor McHugh, Liam McHugh and Morgan Taylor.  Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 20 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home.  Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home, with interment to follow.
