Doris Elizabeth Bratton went into the loving arms of her Savior on December 18, 2020.  Doris came into this world on Halloween in 1935 to Dorothy Mae Smith Canerdy and Charles Aubrey Canerdy.  She is survived by her husband, Dean Bratton; her daughter, Michelle Mann (Mike); her daughter-in-law, Jennifer; her granddaughters Lauren Mann and Emma Bratton; and her grandson, Ben Bratton.

Doris loved her family without reservation and they loved her equally.  Her chosen field was pediatric nursing, beginning her career with Methodist Hospital and ending it with Drs. Saino and Ziebarth in their private pediatric practice.   For several years in between, she worked as a school secretary/teacher's aide/substitute teacher for Leawood Briarcrest and Colonial Briarcrest schools.  For many years, she taught pre-school Sunday School at Colonial Baptist Church.  In her younger years, Doris traveled all over the country, having one adventure after the other.  She was the very definition of beautiful, strong, kind and loving, and those who knew her well enjoyed her wonderful sense of humor and her intelligence.  She impacted so many lives and I'm sure everyone would agree that they are better for having known her.

The graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on January 5, 2020 at Forest Hill East, 2440 Whitten Road, Memphis, TN.
