Doris J. Cole, 87, of Memphis, TN passed away on July 25, 2024 at West Tennessee Healthcare, Dyersburg, TN.

Mrs. Cole was the daughter of the late Jesse James and Bonrah Medlin of Caruthersville, Missouri. She was the wife of Irby Cole who also preceded her in death.

She is survived by one brother, Douglas E. Medlin of Newbern, TN, also many nieces and nephews.

Doris graduated from Steele, Missouri High School in 1955 as the Vale-Victorian of her class, an honorable accomplishment.

She did her best at any job. If the job was worth doing it should be done right and of the highest quality.

When her youngest brother was severely kicked by a mule, Doris got him to safety and rushed to the nearest Medical Doctor in Caruthersville, Missouri.

Now she is reaping her eternal reward. She had a quiet but benevolent Spirit.
