Doris Odell Mitchell was born July 31, 1937 in Ripley MS, the daughter of Sparry and Bessie James.  Doris was united in marriage to Robert "BOB" Mitchell in Hernando MS.  Doris Odell Mitchell  departed this life on February 29,2024 in Selmer TN, at the age of 86 years. She was preceded in death by her husband  Robert "BOB" Mitchell, her daughters Beverly Mitchell, Debbie Mitchell Holt, her son Greg Mitchell and her sister Dorthy Rutherford of Falkner MS. She is survived by her son James "Jay" Mitchell, 4 grandkids, and 4 great grandkids. Doris was devoted to her family and friends, she was a care giver for the physically handicapped for 15 years.  Doris was a avid hunter and fisherman and loved photography. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, April 18, 2024, 2:00pm, at Forest Hill Cemetery South.
