Doris Pryor, 87, went to be with Jesus on November 24, 2017. She was born on August 11, 1930, in Dyersburg, TN to the late Rouden and Maude Ray. She met her sweetheart of 66 years, Jimmie Pryor, and they were united in marriage by the late Dr. Lee of Bellevue Baptist Church. They later attended Bellevue Baptist Church with their children. She was a retired clerk for the banking industry. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Jimmie; her beloved daughter, Hope Canady and her husband, Donnie; five grandchildren, John Bannister (Azadah); Benjamin Canady (Erin); Paul Canady (Meg); Joel Canady (Casey); and Kara Rogers (Jessie); nine great-grandchildren, Lily Bannister; Elliott Canady; Benjamin Canady; Garner Canady; Greer Canady; Elias Canady; Alivia Rogers; Grady Rogers; Lyric Rogers; and was awaiting the arrival of baby June in March, 2018. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patience; her daughter, Faith Bannister; her son-in-law Mark Bannister; grandchildren Tammy Bannister and Mark Bannister, Jr.;brothers Bill Ray; James Ray; Bubba Ray; and sisters Hazel Diffy, Pauline Mullenmeister, and Louise Plunk. Visitation for Mrs. Pryor will be held at 9:30 AM Wednesday, November 29, 2017 with funeral services to follow at 10:30 AM Wednesday. Services are entrusted to Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Midtown Chapel, 1661 Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, TN, 38106. Her interment wil be held at Forest Hill Cemetery, Midtown. Their wil lbe a reception held to celebrate her life immediately following the interment at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, Midtown Chapel.
