On 8-6-2019 Vinita Doris Smith passed peacefully on from this life. She was born 10-25-1931 in Michie, Tennessee, and preceded in death by her parents Buford and Myrtle White, brother Billy White, and sister Emma Grey. She is survived by sisters, Rebecca Moore, Peggy Choate, Linda Crotts, and her brother Danny White. She leaves a daughter Sandra DeBardeleben and grandchildren Brian Campany (Katie), Heather Barks (Jon) and B.J. DeBardeleben (Charlotte). She had six great-grandchildren, Nathan, Grant, Tatum, Dagney, Piper, and Amelia.
She was a member of Christ Church since 1985. A member of the Disciples Bible Class and Prime Time Christians. Doris was a successful businesswoman as the owner of Curtis Carpet for 30 years. She was elected president of the Memphis Homebuilders Ladies Auxiliary in 1993. Doris was also an avid bowler on 2 senior bowling leagues. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
