Doris Ann Smith Roberts of Bartlett, TN was born in West Helena, AR  January 19, 1930 to Reuben Smith and Dora Steiner Smith Ragland. She died surrounded by her family in Memphis TN on December 20, 2019. Doris graduated from the University of Memphis with a Masters Degree in information systems. She retired from Federal Express where she was a senior program analyst. She was a long time member of St Stephen United Methodist Church, and was currently attending Advent Presbyterian Church. Doris enjoyed life with the Advent Adventurers, United Methodist Women, yoga and her very large family. Those who preceded her in death are her mother and father, siblings:  Glenn Smith, Aileen Thomason, sisters-in-law Mary Anne Smith, Debbie Smith and cousin Floy Cruger.  Leaving behind are her siblings: Joan Ludwig of Pompton Plains, NJ and Lee Smith of Heber Springs, AR, her children and their spouses: Mike and Roxanne McElduff, Jackie and Gary Pennel, Annette White, Jyl and David  Baskin and Carla and Cecil Roberts, grandchildren:  Joseph Pennel, Reagan and Evan Kucera, David Pennel, David White, Carly and Griffin Curry, Andrey Roberts and Maria Roberts, great grandchildren:  Lawson Pennel, Gibson Pennel, Katie Pennel,  Connor Kucera, many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements are on Friday December 27, 2019: 10-11:00 – Visitation at Forest Hill Funeral Home East (Kirby-Whitten Rd) 11:30 - Graveside Service at Memorial Park Cemetery (Poplar Ave) 3:00 - Memorial Service at Advent Presbyterian Church (Germantown Rd) In lieu of flowers: Memorials can be sent to the Honduras Women's Mission through Advent Presbyterian Church.
