Dorothy Susan (Susie) Duncan, follower of Jesus, fearless doer of the word, love in action, one of God's good and faithful servants.

She was born in Faulkner, MS on November 16, 1933. Died in Senatobia, MS on September 15. 2024.

Dorothy Sue grew up in a country community anchored by Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Duncan School, true friends and the extended Duncan/Rogers families.

As a child she learned piano by ear, with a flavor of Boogie/Honky-tonk sound even if she was playing gospel hymns. She loved to play and sing.

She was married to Johnny A. Bain for 70 years when he died in 2020, he called her Susie. Everyone who benefitted from her faithfulness are left with a debt of love, especially:

• 2 children, Myra Bain Sheddan and Johnny Ray Bain, both living in the Memphis area.

• 7 grandchildren - Thomas Sheddan (Angie), Susan Sheddan, Rachel Bain Stolzle, Tucker Bain (Kathryn), Bedford Bain (Kailey), Rook Bain and West Bain.

• 5 great grandchildren - Nicholas Stolzle, Marie Stolzle, Anna Stolzle, Laila Bain and Malcom Bain.

• All those in her community whom she loved, taught, mothered, counseled, fed and clothed Fellow church members, Sears employees and her Avon customers.

• Those who loved her simple sweetness and called her Momsie.
