Dorothy Lee Burns,Bartlett, TN was born in Memphis, TN on July 1, 1925 to William Hal Bell and Mary Lee Perry Bell. She passed away on March 31, 2016 at the age of 90 years. Dorothy was a member of Bartlett Woods Church of Christ, and was retired from the Memphis VA Hospital. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 52 years, Winfred Burns; daughter, Louise Lyons (Chuck); great grandson, P.J Boyd; sisters, Juanita Cothern, Ramona Schnell and Marie Jarrell; and by brothers, Bill and Edward Bell. She leaves behind one son, James "Jim" W. Burns (Phyllis); grandchildren, Michelle Boyd (Patrick), Erik Lyons (Kelly), Steve Burns (Laura) and Beth Bramlett (Lewis); six great grandchildren, Bailey, Lauren, Lindsey, Jaylin, Andrew and Daniel; four great-great grandchildren, and by one brother, John Bell. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, from 5-7 PM with funeral services to be held on Wednesday, April 6, beginning at 2:00 PM, all at Forest Hill Funeral Home,East 2440 Whitten Road.
