Dorothy Dean Pinkerton Duggin, "Granny D", 84, of Bartlett, TN, passed away peacefully at home October 30, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Richard O. DugginÍ sons, William Kenneth and Donald WayneÍ and granddaughter, Mandi Allison. She was a member of Whitten Memorial Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher as well as a nursery and kitchen worker. She also served as a Cub Scout Den Mother for several years. She raised five boys and countless other children of the community. She worked many years as a Mother''s Day Out Teacher at First Evangelical Church. She is survived by one brother, Charles Pinkerton of Murfreesboro, TNÍ three sons, Rev. Mark (Melinda) of Byhalia, MS, Richard (Gail) of Columbus, MS and Andy (Melony) of Bartlett, TNÍ nine grandchildrenÍ eight great grandchildrenÍ as well as numerous other family and friends. Dorothy''s family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Charlotte Daniels, Betsy Reigert and Cheryl Taylor for their unconditional love and care of "Granny D". "I Love You Always". A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 from 12pm to 2pm with funeral services to immediately follow at 2:00pm, all at Forest Hill Funeral Home East location, 2440 Whitten Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations
to the Alzheimer''s Association.
