Dorothy May Fitts' Obituary
Dorothy May Fitts passed away Friday March 25, 2022. She was the widow of Manual A. Fitts and they shared over 50 years of
marriage. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas she moved to Memphis as a teenager.
She was the daughter of Sadie and Grady Heer and had 2 brothers and 4 sisters. She was raised in the Baptist faith and worked for Advertising Checking Bureau for 20 years.
Dorothy was an avid gardener and mowed her own lawn well into her 80's. An excellent seamstress, she sewed for family and friends most of her life.
She will be remembered for her loving and generous nature and her straightforward commentary on the world around her and its
changes since 1930.
She was predeceased by her son Mike Fitts. She is survived by her sister Helen Roberts of Arkansas, her daughter, Connie Ebert of Tennessee, 3 grandchildren, Shelby Moore of Colorado, Alex Ebert of New York and Tony Chrestman of Mississippi plus 7 great grandchildren.
