Dorothy "Dobby" Margaret Gammon, 84 , of Southaven, MS found her eternal peace Monday, August 7, 2017. Born July 1st, 1933 to the late James & Gladys Marler in her hometown of Hot Springs, AR. Dorothy moved to Memphis, TN in 1951 to attend UT Nursing Program where she later met and married her devoted husband of more than 61 years, Sidney Walter Gammon, on January 27th, 1956. Dorothy was a registered nurse for more than 35 years, working mostly in positions at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Central, but also worked at John Gaston, Campbell's Clinic and Mid-South Hospital. Dorothy loved to spend time with family and friends. She is preceded in death by a son, Sidney, Jr.; two brothers and many other family members and cherished friends. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Sidney; sons, David (Cheryl Raffanti); Johnny (Lynda); grandchildren, Ashlie (Alec Jolley) and Thomas; great grandchild, Addison; step grandchild, Michael; and step great grandchild, Toby.
